Director of Facilities Planning and Construction

Santa Monica College

Santa Monica College is currently undergoing one of the largest new construction developments in its history, and is seeking a new Director of Facilities Planning and Construction to lead the charge in its endeavors. In this capacity, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing District-wide facilities planning, design, and construction activities for a multi-campus college, which includes substantial responsibility for monitoring, directing, and evaluating the work of multiple independent construction firms.

Director, Campus Development and Maintenance

Ohlone Community College

Under the direction of the Vice President, Administrative Services, the Director of Campus Development and Maintenance is responsible for all functions of campus facilities, including the areas of skilled trades, grounds, custodial, and transportation. The position is also responsible for the district’s hazardous substance control and environmental maintenance as well as administration of the facilities services budget, support for long-term facility planning, and oversight of major capital building and repair projects.

Interim Assistant Director of Facilities, Capital Outlay Projects

Irvine Valley College

To assist assigned community college’s Director of Facilities or Senior Director of Facilities to plan and develop college-level capital outlay projects and to act as liaison on District-level capital outlay projects, as appropriate, including contributing to District efforts relative to needs assessments, coordinating academic schedules with construction schedules, and provide supporting documentation; and to participate in District meetings for planning, design, and construction or remodeling of College facilities.

Manager, Sustainability (Restricted Funds)

Mt. San Antonio College

Under administrative direction, this position develops, coordinates, implements, and supports campus-wide sustainability, energy management, and climate resilience programs designed to promote sustainable practices, environmental stewardship, and a culture of sustainability across the College. The position collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and external partners to advance institutional sustainability goals; integrates sustainability principles into campus operations, strategic planning, facilities planning, capital projects, and construction initiatives; and leads resource conservation efforts.

Director of Energy and Engineering (On-site)

UC Merced

The Director of Energy & Engineering serves as the university's senior engineering authority for campus energy systems, utility infrastructure, and engineering operations. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and seasoned professional judgment, the Director provides strategic leadership across energy management, engineering design, capital renewal, utilities operations, and sustainability initiatives.

Energy Analyst, Facilities Services

UC Berkeley

The Energy Analyst serves as a member of the Utilities Engineering team and provides energy management functions by acting as the primary data manager of utility consumption, cost, and billing data across campus utilities systems. This position ensures accurate, timely, and auditable utility data to support day-to-day operations, operational decision-making, and cost recovery through recharge processes.

Energy and Utilities Manager

Cal Poly Pomona

Responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, efficiency, and sustainability of the campus’s energy systems and central utility infrastructure. This position leads strategic initiatives to optimize utility consumption, manage energy budgets, reduce environmental impact, and ensure reliable utility distribution across campus facilities.

Director, Sustainability Programs (Facilities Planning and Development) - District

Riverside CCD

Responsible for the planning, evaluation, development, and implementation of all activities associated with the District-wide Sustainability and Climate Action Plan and initiatives throughout the District.

Senior Director, Facilities Planning and Construction

Mt. San Antonio College

Under administrative direction, plans, organizes, and manages the College's Facilities Planning and Capital Construction Programs, including new construction, renovation, modernization, scheduled maintenance, and bond-funded projects. Oversees development and implementation of the College's Facilities Master Plan, Five-Year Construction Plan, and related State Chancellor's Office submissions; ensures compliance with applicable building codes, public works contracting requirements, Division of the State Architect (DSA) standards, and California Community College facilities regulations. Provides professional expertise and guidance to College leadership on facilities planning, project delivery methods, budgets, schedules, and construction risk management.
