Under general direction from the Vice-President of Business and Administration, this position plans, directs, and oversees the District’s facilities, maintenance, construction, remodeling, mechanical, utilities and energy management services while advancing institutional commitments to resilience, environmental sustainability and waste reduction. The Director develops short and long-term strategic plans which align with the District’s goals and objectives.

The Director of Energy & Sustainability will serve as the driving force behind SDSU’s energy and sustainability strategy. Your mission: reduce the university’s environmental impact, develop and manage energy conservation projects, champion sustainable development, and embed a culture of sustainability across academics, operations, and student life.
