The California Community Colleges is guided by a process of shared governance, and the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges sets policy and provides guidance.

Facilities Planning and Program Services

FPPS coordinates the Energy Resource and Sustainability Partnership. FPPS has been providing services to California Community Colleges since November 2006. Our firm has trained dozens of districts in Energy Star Portfolio Manager and Data Exchange Services provided by various Investor-Owned Utilities and Public Utilities to benchmark campus energy usage and comply with statewide mandate under AB 802, as well as provided Sustainability Benchmarking services using the AASHE STARS Tool to track colleges' alignment with the California Community Colleges Climate Action and Sustainability Framework.

As the nation's largest natural gas distribution utility, we deliver increasingly clean, safe and reliable energy to 21.1 million consumers through 5.9 million meters in more than 500 communities. Our service territory encompasses approximately 24,000 square miles in diverse terrain throughout Central and Southern California, from Visalia to the Mexican border.

San Diego Gas & Electric is an innovative San Diego-based energy company that serves the people and businesses of San Diego and southern Orange counties. SDG&E have 3.7 million consumers, 4,600+ employees, and 4,100 square-mile service area.

Pacific Gas and Electric Company

Pacific Gas and Electric Company, incorporated in California in 1905, is one of the largest utility companies in the United States. Based in Oakland, the company is part of PG&E Corporation. There are approximately 23,000 employees who carry out Pacific Gas and Electric Company's primary business—the transmission and delivery of energy. The company provides natural gas and electric service to approximately 16 million people throughout a 70,000-square-mile service area in northern and central California.

Southern California Edison

An investor-owned public utility operating as a subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE EIX). As one of the nation’s largest electric utilities, we deliver power to 15 million people in 50,000 square miles across central, coastal and Southern California, excluding the City of Los Angeles and some other cities. More than 180 incorporated cities and 15 counties are represented.

CLEAResult (HEEP Program)

The HEEP Program provides a comprehensive approach to higher education's energy efficiency needs by tailoring customized solutions for your facility. The program will account for your unique facility needs, budget concerns, and energy efficiency goals at no-cost to participants. HEEP works by combining the traditional energy efficiency program with a holistic, whole-facility approach, dispensing energy efficiency services, technical assistance, and incentives to support your energy goals.

The CSU system is made up of 23 campuses across the state of California. The California State University educates more than 450,000 students each year. The California State University is the nation's largest and most diverse four-year public university, providing opportunities for upward mobility to students across the state and empowering them to become leaders in the changing workforce.

Community College Facility Coalition

We are a statewide association composed of community college districts and organizations that support their facility needs and construction projects, including facility planners, architects, contractors, developers, construction managers, financial institutions, attorneys, consultants, and more.
