The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is a consortium of 26 cities and water districts that provides drinking water to nearly 19 million people in parts of Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties.
Weather Based Irrigation Controllers
$35/Station – Eligible WBIC will be rebated only for active stations. Active stations are those that are physically connected to an in-use irrigation system
Only weather based irrigation controllers that are EPA WaterSense certified qualify for SoCal Water$mart rebates. For more information about EPA WaterSense certified weather based irrigation controllers, visit: www.epa.gov/WaterSense/products/controltech.html.
Rotating Nozzles for Pop-up Spray Heads
$2/Nozzle (minimum of 30)
Large Rotary Nozzles
$13/Set (8 set minimum – no maximum). Retrofit and new construction are eligible for rebates.
In-stem Flow Regulators
$1/Regulator (25 device minimum - no maximum). Retrofit and new construction are eligible for rebates.
Soil Moisture Sensor Systems
$35/Irrigation controller station – Eligible SMSS will be rebated only for active stations. Active stations are those that are physically connected to an in-use irrigation system
SoCal Water$mart eligible soil moisture sensor systems must include a sensor and a calibrator (these are typically packaged together in the same device) and an irrigation controller. A sensor/calibrator can be added to an existing compatible irrigation controller, however, it is not eligible for a rebate if the user already received a rebate for a Weather Based Irrigation Controller. Rebates are not available for both the Soil Moisture Sensor System and a Weather Based Irrigation Controller if purchased together.
Estimate Your Rebate
Verify eligibility and identify the current rebate amounts for your new water saving device(s) or measure(s). Rebate amounts may vary by water agency and are based on the availability of funding.
